Week 9

Title : Magnet Research Part 1

Objectives : To classify the best magnet to be used

Contents : this week i need to choose what type of magnet that suit with my project. there are several types of magnet that can be find in the world such as permanent magnet, temporary magnet and electromagnet. in this project, i used a permanent magnet and there are four classes of permanent magnets such as Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB), Samarium Cobalt (SmCo), Alnico and Ceramic or Ferrite.

 

Results :


In order to make this project successful, magnet is the most important item that needs to be considered. The points that need to be considered in magnet selection are:

i. Magnetic properties.
ii. Corrosion resistance.
iii. Material cost.
iv. Maximum operating temperature.

A good permanent magnet should produce a high magnetic field with a low mass and should be stable against the influences which would demagnetize it. The desirable properties of such magnet are typically stated in terms of remanence and coercive of the magnet material. Alnico, Nd2Fe14B and SmCo magnet are classified as the rare earth permanent magnets and can produce the largest magnetic flux with the smallest mass.

Conclusion : i have to buy the magnet next week.. see u soon...

Week 8

Title : Past Project

Objectives : To study past project and relate it with my project

Contents : i had done some research regarding my title that is Development of Renewable Energy using Wind, and i had found one project that look similar to mine.. the title is Design and Development of Green Electricity, http://ebookbrowse.com/s-03-2-design-and-development-of-green-electricity-pdf-d93043473..

Results : as we can see from the website, he tell us about how he design a wave generated solenoid to be used as a supply.. i got the idea from that.. just imagine if we can convert the system that he had been discovered to be used on the sea wave, and put it at all time wind that had at any moments.. we surely can generated electricity although there is a little wind that had been blown up.. so i need to design a solenoid that look alike like what he had done but in a tiny small design.. that might be difficult for me but i will try my best to make it possible..

Conclusion : everything in this world is possible to be done.. so what we need is just a patience and a hard work to make it reality.. pray for me buddy.. if this come true, everyone in this world will get benefit from it.. yeah....

Week 7

Title : FYP Presentation

Objectives : To prepare a slide show based on Development of Renewable Energy Using Wind

Contents : On 12th April 2012, we had been undergo Final Year Project's presentation at Dewan Gemilang UniKL BMI.. There is 5 places for the student to present their slideshow.. there is at Dewan Gemilang, Foyer TTL, Level 1, 2 and 3.. i had been given to present at Dewan Gemilang.. my assessor are AAA and ZBZ that is Sir Azman Abd Aziz and Mdm Zabariah Bte Zakaria.. both of them came at the same time.. they asked me a lot of questions regarding my Final Year Project that is Development of Renewable Energy Using Wind.. and I had answered them clearly and they understood what is my project about.. 

Results : 

Conclusion : now, i need to wait for the result to come out.. i hope that i got a good result from both of them..

Week 6

Title : Proposal Dateline

Objectives : To submit proposal before due date ; week 11

Contents : the proposal that i had made need to send to my advisor, Sir Abdul Rashid Othman before the end of week 11.. the marks for proposal if i am not mistaken is about 10% of total marks.. therefore, a detail explanation is put into my proposal so that my advisor will understand me and give me higher marks for that.. the proposal should contents :

1) ABSTRACT

2) INTRODUCTION

3) PROBLEM STATEMENT

4) LITERATURE REVIEW

5) METHODOLOGY

6) OBJECTIVES

7) BENEFIT/CONTRIBUTIONS

8) WORK PLAN

9) BUDGET

11) REFERENCES

as a results for that, i had followed the format and submitted the proposal to him on Friday, 23rd of March..

Results : everything that i had put in my proposal is everything about my project.. let i tell u something bout that.. the objectives of my project are :   

i) To produce a system that can minimize the use of petroleum and the electricity from Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

ii) To demonstrate the design of future source of energy using solenoid and a magnet attached to the leaves.

iii) To shows that leaves can generate enough electricity to be a supply to the house.

 

the basic concept of my project is to design a system that can generate electricity from the movement of leaves by wind.. if this concept can be done and applied,  we will have a new source of renewable energy to be used as main supply.. the imaginary diagram can be shown as below :

Conclusion : as a conclusion, i really hope that this project can be done successfully.. with help from my advisor and friends, i will make sure that this project will become reality..

Week 5

Title : Project Title

Objectives : To Change Title Of The Project

Contents : The title of my past project is fuel-save system.. But there is some problems that I had need to face, and I had tell at the last post of my entries.. But I will tell u once again.. Fuel-save system, impossible project, said one of my lecturer.. and I ask him why.. and he gave me a long explanation regarding about that, that is about the project is theoretically can be done but practically the battery cannot last longer as expected.. and that is week 7.. so i need to find a new title for my Final Year Project before the deadline of change of title that is on week 8..

Results : and the results is, my title for my Final Year Project now is Development Of Renewable Energy Using Wind.. lets i tell a little bit about my new project.. actually, this project is simply the same as windmill in Germany.. but the steps to get it is not the same.. as we all know, the windmill need a large blow of wind to make it turns, but in my project, i love to design, and hopefully can be design a new technology that can be applied on leaves.. so, when there is a little wind, the leaves will move and generate some electricity and then can be used to each houses..

Conclusion : as a conclusion, i had get approval from my advisor to change my title and below is the proved.. 

Week 4

Title : Unlogical Project

Objectives : To identify whether my project is possible or not

Contents : oh no, my Final Year Project is not logic..? why..? any answer..? before this, i thought that my project can be done with flying color, but i missed something.. why before this i never think about it..? this is the major problem that i need to overcome right now.. without a better solution, i can't proceed with my "future car".. what's that problem.. let i tell u something.. when we studying about power supply, we know that energy is always there, but in different form, such as electrical energy, kinetic energy, heat energy, sound energy and etc.. below is a video regarding about energy....>

 

Results : but we must know that in real world, there is no energy that can generate itself without another energy.. what i mean by that is that we can produce energy without other source of energy.. if i want to do generator for my car, i need to design another supply to support it.. if i fully used generator to act as my "supplier", the system can last not more than a minute.. 

Conclusion : so i need to discuss with my advisor and someone who had knowledge regarding to power system or power quality or machines and drives.. for the next entry, i will u all about the solution... yeay...
